Ways in which I observe the world, and create with intention

Burning with Maslow

This year was the second time camping with House of Maslow at the burn. It was a particularly special year as I recruited my two close friends who were having their playa wedding to join the camp.

As the day turned into evening on Wednesday, everyone from the camp came back from their daytime adventures to congregate back at our base to clean up and don their snazziest white burner outfits.

I created this bouquet of flowers and gold and white mushrooms, along with notes from everyone in our camp congratulating them. After presenting the bouquet we all biked towards Ali Bar Bar for their champagne reception; a procession of hooting and hollering friends following the couple on a sparkly tandem bike, riding into the sunset. The night continued into a beautiful celebration of love — for their marriage, for each other, and for ourselves.
