Blurring the lines between hardware and software
While working at BlackBerry, I was a designer on their Foresights team. My main focus was designing for interactions between both their smartphones and their software (BlackBerry OS 10).
This was largely focused on interaction guidelines for the BlackBerry Passport, a phone with a capacitive keyboard. I was even able to file a patent for a method of revealing content on screens!
I collaborated with strategists, industrial designers and researchers to define BlackBerry’s future product roadmap through POCs I designed; focusing on security, messaging, and enterprise solutions. These were documented through interaction specifications, storyboards, and animation videos.
